You really CAN make this. 🧵🍂
Have you ever looked at a quilt and thought, “I would love to learn how to do that… but I wouldn’t even know where to start?”
This workshop is for you.
Over two relaxed, hands-on sessions, I’ll walk you step-by-step through creating your own fall patchwork table runner — even if you’ve never quilted before.
You’ll learn the basic skills behind quilt making while working on a project that is small enough for a beginner but beautiful enough that you’ll actually want to display it in your home.
And at the end, you’ll get to say:
“I made that!”
During the workshop, you’ll learn how to:
- Work with quilting fabric and precut squares
- Arrange colors and fabrics into a patchwork design
- Sew an accurate seam
- Join quilt blocks and rows
- Create a quilt “sandwich” with batting and backing
- Quilt the layers together
- Finish your project with binding
- Understand the basic process you can use to make future quilts
This isn’t about making everything absolutely perfect.
It’s about slowing down, learning something new and rediscovering how much fun it is to create with your own hands.
Your project
You’ll create a warm, autumn-inspired patchwork table runner perfect for your dining table, coffee table, buffet or fall decorating.
And unlike a craft project that gets tucked away in a drawer, this is something you can bring out year after year.

What’s included
Your workshop fee includes all of the fabric and quilting materials needed to complete your table runner, along with step-by-step instruction and use of shared quilting tools during class. Fabrics will be fall theme in October.
Please bring your own sewing machine to each session, along with its power cord and foot pedal. If you have your machine manual, bring that too — especially if you’re still getting familiar with your machine.
You do not need a fancy quilting machine. A basic sewing machine with a straight stitch is perfect for this workshop.
Just come ready to learn, create, and have fun!
Who is this for?
This workshop is designed with beginners in mind.
You do not need previous quilting experience, and you don’t need to consider yourself “crafty” to join us.
If you’ve always wanted to learn how to quilt, this is the perfect place to start.
