Micro:Bit Workshop

Code. Create. Connect.
Bring ideas to life with the micro:bit!
Join us for a hands-on, beginner-friendly 12-week micro:bit adventure where homeschoolers explore real-world coding and electronics using the powerful (and kid-friendly) BBC micro:bit. Students will learn how code interacts with the physical world as they build games, gadgets, and interactive devices—no prior experience required.
This workshop goes far beyond “just coding.” Each week, students experiment with buttons, LEDs, sensors, sound, radio communication, and external components while learning core programming concepts like logic, variables, loops, conditionals, and problem-solving. Guided by experienced Edison Kids STEM mentors, kids gain confidence as they design, test, debug, and improve projects they’re excited to show off.
By the end of the session, students won’t just know how to code—they’ll understand how technology works and how to turn their ideas into functioning creations.
