🚀 LEGO® SPIKE™ Prime Space Robotics Club (16 Weeks)

Build. Code. Explore Space.

Blast off into robotics with our 16-week LEGO® SPIKE™ Prime Space Robotics Club, where homeschool students ages 7–13 design, build, and program robots to complete exciting space-themed missions inspired by the LEGO Education Space Challenge.

This hands-on engineering experience introduces students to real robotics concepts through creative problem-solving, teamwork, and guided exploration. Using LEGO SPIKE Prime kits and official mission models, students will tackle challenges like docking, sample collection, navigation, and mission optimization — just like real space engineers.

No prior robotics experience is required. Beginners and experienced builders alike will grow in confidence as they progress through increasingly complex missions.

🧠 What Students Will Learn

  • Core robotics and engineering principles

  • Block-based programming using LEGO SPIKE Prime

  • Sensor integration (color, distance, motors)

  • Mechanical design and attachments

  • Problem-solving using the Engineering Design Process

  • Teamwork, communication, and perseverance

🔧 What We’ll Do Each Week

  • Build and modify a SPIKE Prime robot

  • Program autonomous behaviors and missions

  • Test, debug, and iterate designs

  • Learn real-world engineering strategies

  • Prepare for a final Space Challenge competition

Each 2-hour session blends instruction, hands-on building, coding, testing, and reflection in a supportive, creativity-driven environment.
