Inspiring the next generation of problem-solvers, creators, and business leaders

Entrepreneurship for Young Innovators

At Edison Kids, we believe kids aren’t just the leaders of tomorrow – they can lead today. Our hands-on entrepreneurship programs give students ages 8 – 16 the skills, confidence, and real-world experience to take an idea from concept to creation.

Why Start Young?

Entrepreneurship isn't just about starting a business - it's about thinking differently. It's problem-solving, creativity, teamwork, and resilience. When kids learn these skills early, they carry them for life. Our programs help students:
01
Overcoming Challenges

Students learn to approach obstacles with a problem-solving mindset, seeing every challenge as a chance to innovate and create solutions.

02
Creative Thinking

Through guided activities, kids build the ability to analyze problems logically while also thinking outside the box to design unique solutions.

03
Confident Communication

Presenting ideas clearly and persuasively is at the heart of entrepreneurship. Students practice public speaking, pitching, and collaboration to grow their voice.

04
Business Skills

From basic financial concepts to planning and decision-making, students gain knowledge they can use now and in the future.

05
Leadership & Teamwork

Team-based projects help students learn leadership, responsibility, and how to thrive in group dynamics—skills that carry into every aspect of life.

Our Programs

Think Tank

Duration: 8 weeks — 1.5 hours per week

The Think Tank is where big ideas begin. Students explore the world of innovation and entrepreneurship by identifying problems, brainstorming solutions, and developing creative concepts. Through the Engineering Design Process, they learn to refine ideas, test them, and prepare for the next step—turning them into something real.

Key Takeaways:

  • How to identify real-world problems worth solving
  • Idea generation and creative thinking strategies
  • Basic market research and customer discovery
  • Early-stage prototyping and feedback loops

Entrepreneur Bootcamp

Duration: 8 weeks — 1.5 hours per week

Entrepreneur Bootcamp is where ideas come to life. Students who have completed the Think Tank—or who already have a business idea—will create a complete plan to launch it. From product design and branding to budgeting and pitching, they’ll leave with a tangible business or product ready to present. Maybe even an operational business.

Key Takeaways:

  • Business model development
  • Branding, marketing, and storytelling
  • Costing, budgeting, and profit calculation
  • Pitching to a panel (and possibly real customers!)
